Our Shows We produce two shows a year in May and November at the Pavilion Theatre, Worthing. We have seven performances between Tuesday and Saturday with Matinees on the Wednesday and Saturday of show week. Rehearsals take place on Tuesdays (Principals) and Wednesday (Chorus) at Elm Grove School, Elm Grove, Worthing 7.30 - 10.00pm. In the final weeks before each show attendance may be required at Tuesday and Wednesday rehearsals plus several Sunday afternoon rehearsals, usually at East Preston 2-6pm. Membership Membership of the Society is only open to age 16+, however, depending upon the show, we sometimes have children joining us a "guest" members. We do need children (both boys and girls) for our next show "The Likes of Us". See below for details (Our Next Auditions section). Auditions To join the company as an adult you will be required to undertake a short audition. The audition will consist of singing, a little dancing and some dialogue. Please bring your song music with you. We do appreciate how stressful auditioning is but we've all been there and will do our best to make you feel at ease! Our Next Audition Our next show, The Likes of Us, will be performed Tuesday 16th – Saturday 20th November 2010 nightly and with a matinee on the Wednesday and Saturday.
Auditions for Adult Principal roles will be on Tuesday 15th June but you will need to have passed your membership audition first. If you would like to register your child's interest in the likes of us, please email chairman@sussexmusicalproductions.co.uk with your contact details together with your child's age, gender and experience and you will be sent full details of the audition venue together with audition songs and details of parts available. The Children's auditions will take place on 27th June. Current Costs (Following a successful Company Audition!!!)
