 :: The Story

The story revolves around an orphan, Oliver Twist, left in a workhouse and treated badly by Mr Bumble the Parish Beadle. Oliver makes the mistakeof asking for more gruel and so is "sold" to Mr and Mrs Sowerberry, the undertakers. He runs away and makes his way to London where he meets Dodger and is introduced into the criminal world of Fagin and Bill Sykes.

Oliver is rescued by the intervention of a benefactor, Mr Brownlow, but Nancy (Syke's girlfriend) and the gang kidnap him back.

Meanwhile Mr & Mrs Bumble discover Oliver's real past and the plot thickens. However their pan to get him back fails and Nancy, regretting her part in the capture of Oliver pland to return him to Mr Brownlow. Bill Sykes finds out.......
